This last week for me was spring break. I am extremely grateful for this break, but in accordance with my ISM work, some progress was made.
As I said before, I needed to drop the skate shoe idea as it was simply not viable to keep working and spending time on. To make up for this, my mentor and I decided to call over break and think of different business ideas. We thought of a couple ideas, including a brand-centered business based around implementing Indian culture into everyday American household items. I thought this was a good idea, but I realized the cost of customer inquiry (the cost, time, and effort put into actually getting the customers) was extremely high. Also, I most likely do not have the time to put into product design.
I am not entirely sure if I will drop this idea, however, as I am passionate about it and it does interest me. I will discuss this further with my mentor before making any more decisions. I have a few other ideas I would like to look into before picking another one. I understand I am short on time, but I want to be certain that the work I am doing is meaningful. Furthermore, I am okay if my work stretches beyond this school year as long as I am doing something I am passionate about and actively working and learning about entrepreneurship.
